Lake Tahoe has absolutely stunning beaches. Here is a list with some information about the high and low points of all the major ones. Before heading to any beach on a busy summer afternoon, you should have a parking plan, or better yet, an alternative form of transportation, like a boat. In any case, you should expect to pay for parking at most of the popular Tahoe area beaches.

Round Hill Pines Beach - Lots of amenities at this Nevada side beach.
Sand Harbor - Perhaps Tahoe's finest beach.
Skunk Harbor - Tucked away on Nevada's east shore.
Lester Beach at D.L. Bliss - Sheltered cove on the west shore.
Angora Lakes - Lots of amenities at this 'hike to' alpine gem.
Lakeside Beach and Marina - Members only beach serving some Stateline area hotels and resorts.
Zephyr Cove - Party beach with Sunset Bar.
Regan Beach - More aptly described as a lakeside park.
Pope Beach - The first of three large southwest shore beaches.

Baldwin Beach - The last stop before the west shore.
Emerald Bay - Boat or hike in only.
Meeks Bay - Beautiful sheltered cove. Family atmosphere.
Nevada Beach - Wide and windy

Tahoe City Commons Beach Park - Downtown Tahoe City Beach.
Kings Beach Recreation Area - Downtown Kings Beach.
Sugar Pine Point - West shore area known more for camping than it's beach. Along the east shore there are six clothing optional beaches; Hidden Beach, Secret Cove, Secret Creek Beach, Black Sand Beach, Chimney Beach, and Whale Beach.
