Kings Beach Stretch - Coon Street Picnic
There are three separate beaches along Highway 28 in Kings Beach that pretty much run together. They are (from east to west) the Coon Street Picnic Area, Kings Beach Recreation Area, and the North Tahoe Beach Center. The Coon Street Picnic Area stands out as having a boat launch (lake level dependent) and the North Tahoe Beach Center has undergone a multimillion dollar renovation and features a fantastic group facility. The largest of the three is the Kings Beach Recreation Area. Here you will find water toy rentals, a playground, volleyball, and lots of shaded picnic tables and grills. The area is also host to cultural events as well as arts and craft fairs. While there is no food service at these beaches, you are only steps away from numerous Kings Beach restaurants. Alcohol is not allowed.
